 The Jordan Downs Center is powered by Children Mending Hearts, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has been based in Los Angeles for the past 13 years.

Everything we do comes from a place of empathy. Empathy is a positive predictor of reading and math test scores, as well as critical thinking skills. It decreases bullying, aggression, prejudice, and racism. It also prepares kids to be global citizens and is a cited strength in leadership success and excellent performance in the job market. This is why everyone who becomes a part of our team needs to be an empathetic go-getter who is passionate about building their careers around creating a space where the community can thrive.
